Northrop Grumman announced FORTITUDE™, a single-chip microelectronics breakthrough engineered to dramatically accelerate data transfer, boost system performance, and process broad sections of the electromagnetic spectrum on a single piece of hardware.

• Hardware & Form Factor: FORTITUDE™ is a gallium nitride (GaN) chip roughly the size of a grain of rice. It is based on technology previously designated as the Super Lattice Castellated Field Effect Transistor.
