(kathleen turner and michael douglas) Why is this trending now

Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner are trending because Douglas admitted in his memoir, One Helluva Ride, that the two had a secret romantic affair while filming the 1984 movie Romancing the Stone.

For over 40 years, both actors publicly claimed that while they shared undeniable chemistry and flirted constantly, nothing romantic ever happened. Douglas revealed that this denial was a deliberate lie meant to protect his then-wife, Diandra Luker, and their young son.

Douglas reached out to Turner for permission before publishing the story. Turner took the revelation in stride, reacting with good humor: “Good heavens what a fuss about something 40 years ago! I love Michael and I look forward to enjoying the book”.
