Deadly pedestrian crash closes EB I-76 in Brighton, tell me about this news today

Eastbound Interstate 76 in Brighton, Colorado, was shut down near Bromley Lane following a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.

According to the Brighton Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday night. Investigators reported that a pedestrian was struck by an initial vehicle and then hit shortly after by a second vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. Both drivers involved remained at the scene. Eastbound lanes were closed to traffic in the area to allow crash reconstruction investigators and emergency crews to process the scene.
