Dog rescued from pickup truck during Texas floods, tell me about this news today

During recent severe flooding in Rocksprings, Texas, the El Paso Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team carried out a dramatic rescue after a driver and their dog were trapped by rapidly rising floodwaters.

The driver of a pickup truck was initially brought to safety by local emergency personnel, but the pet was still stranded inside the vehicle surrounded by deep, swift water. The deployed El Paso water rescue crew, who were assisting regional areas dealing with severe storms, navigated an inflatable rescue boat out to the submerged pickup truck.

A rescuer approached the open truck bed and cabin, gently comforted and calmed the anxious dog, and safely loaded him into the boat to bring him to dry ground. Both the driver and the dog survived without serious injury and were reunited.
