kody brown leaving sister wives: Why is this trending now

Kody Brown and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, are officially exiting Sister Wives after 16 years on the air.

The news is trending because TLC confirmed ahead of the new season premiere that neither Kody nor Robyn will return, shifting the series to focus exclusively on his ex-wivesChristine, Janelle, and Merias they navigate life post-polygamy. Following the collapse of three of his four marriages and escalating family estrangement, speculation has surged around failed contract renegotiations, fatigue with their public portrayal, and a desire to step away from reality TV scrutiny.
