Buffalo Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson is trending following his postgame comments after the Bills’ 29–26 loss to the New England Patriots.
After the game, Gardner-Johnson downplayed a critical play made against him by Patriots receiver Eagan Chism, referring to him dismissively as a “practice squad player” and stating: “An elevated guy made a hell of a catch probably won’t hear from him again.” He added that despite the loss, the Patriots “didn’t do [anything] better than us.”
Those remarks went viral on social media and drew a sharp public response from Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, sparking widespread debate across sports media and fan communities.
