MLB playoffs live scores, updates: White Sox fight back to lead Guardians, Yankees-Rays to come, tell me about this news today

The American League Division Series (ALDS) slate features pivotal action across both matchups:

• Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians (Game 2): After taking Game 1 with a 3-0 shutout in Cleveland, the White Sox fought back late to hold a 4-2 lead over the Guardians heading into the late innings. Chicago’s bullpen and run production have kept Cleveland’s offense contained to just two hits, putting the White Sox in prime position to seize a commandingly dominant 2-0 series lead before heading back to Chicago.

• New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays (Game 2): Up next, the top-seeded Tampa Bay Rays host the Yankees. Tampa Bay leads the best-of-five series 1-0 following a 1-0 shutout victory in Game 1 powered by Drew Rasmussen’s dominant start. The Yankees, who advanced after sweeping Boston in the Wild Card round, are looking to bounce back offensively and secure a split on the road before the series shifts to New York.
