Bijan: The story behind this trend in Social Media today
06-10-2026
I’ll look up what the Bijan trend is referring to today. The name is trending, but the reason is still unclear. Checking what specifically pushed Bijan onto timelines today.Bijan Robinson, the Atlanta Falcons running back, is the reason the name is trending. He is a former Texas star drafted eighth overall in 2023 who has become one of the league’s most productive backs. Through the early part of the 2026 season he has carried a large share of Atlanta’s offense, including a dominant Thursday-night performance against Green Bay in which he rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns. That outing helped snap a slow start and put him back at the center of highlight reels, fantasy talk, and debates about whether he is the best running back in football, especially in prime time. The Falcons were next scheduled for a Monday-night road game against the Saints, which kept his name in the conversation.A second, lighter reason is his look. He has shown up with a shaved-sides style topped by a high, upright ponytail or single thick lock of hair. Fans and meme accounts have compared it to the Genie from Aladdin and other cartoon shapes, and clips of the haircut have circulated alongside his game film. Comments range from jokes about the style to praise that he is playing at a high level anyway. The trend is therefore mostly football-driven: recent big stats, the Falcons’ week, and the recurring haircut meme attached to an already high-profile player.
