OUTSTANDING STAR NA JAEMIN: The story behind this trend in Social Media today
08-10-2026
The phrase “OUTSTANDING STAR NA JAEMIN” is a coordinated fan celebration for Na Jaemin of NCT (and NCT Dream), who won the Outstanding Asian Star: Korea Popularity Award (Male) at the 2026 Seoul International Drama Awards. The award recognizes his performance in the short-form baseball drama Wind-Up (also written Wind Up), in which he starred alongside fellow NCT member Jeno. The project aired earlier in 2025–2026 and marked a notable acting step for him after earlier work such as Method to Hate You. The Seoul International Drama Awards ceremony is being held today, 8 October 2026, and the popularity category is decided by fan voting, which is why supporters have been organizing around the win for several days.Fans, especially in Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and other NCT strongholds, have been posting the exact line “OUTSTANDING STAR NA JAEMIN” together with tags such as ActorJaeminWinsSDA and a Korean hashtag roughly meaning “Jaemin’s Wind-Up strikes all the way to SDA.” The posts congratulate him as an actor, share clips or stills from the drama and the ceremony broadcast, and keep the award phrase trending. In the days before the event there was also a related push asking his agency to clear his schedule so he could attend in person and accept the trophy. In short, the trend is a real-time fan campaign marking Jaemin’s drama-award win for Wind-Up at today’s Seoul International Drama Awards.
