Why Ninku Matters to the Anime Community

Serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump between 1993 and 1995, Ninku blends ninjutsu and karate. Masashi Kishimoto has consistently credited Ninku as one of the primary inspirations behind Naruto, describing its protagonist, Fūsuke, as an indirect predecessor and stylistic blueprint for Naruto himself.

The reunion of these two foundational ninja franchises marks the first brand-new Ninku animation project in decades, driving widespread discussion across anime fan communities and social media.
