Details of the South Seattle Nightclub Shooting

The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. in the 5800 block of 4th Avenue South, near Seattle’s Georgetown and Industrial District neighborhoods. Seattle 911 dispatchers received multiple emergency calls reporting gunfire in the parking lot of the venue.

Upon arriving at the scene, Seattle police officers found two victims:

  • The Security Guard: A 36-year-old male employee working security for the club was found with fatal gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

  • The Injured Woman: A 27-year-old female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers administered emergency medical aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

Security camera footage reviewed by detectives revealed that an unidentified vehicle pulled into the club’s parking lot before an occupant fired multiple rounds directly from the car.

The driver immediately fled the area. Less than an hour later, officers located a vehicle matching the suspect’s description completely engulfed in flames in the 6200 block of Carleton Avenue South.
