WATCH LIVE: SpaceX Launches NASA Cargo Mission to the International Space Station
SpaceX and NASA have initiated the launch of their latest Commercial Resupply Services mission, sending thousands of pounds of scientific research, crew supplies, and critical hardware to the International Space Station (ISS). The uncrewed Dragon cargo spacecraft lifted off atop a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The cargo Dragon spacecraft carries a comprehensive manifest designed to support Expedition crew members and advance microgravity science in low Earth orbit:
Advanced Science & Biomedical Research: The flight delivers experiments focusing on neurodegenerative diseases using brain organoids, 3D heart tissue models to evaluate cardiovascular responses, and research into manufacturing artificial retinas in space.
NASA (.gov)Station Upgrades & Infrastructure: Stowed in Dragon’s unpressurized trunk is a new set of ISS Roll-Out Solar Arrays (iROSA), aimed at augmenting the orbiting laboratory’s electrical power grid ahead of planned astronaut spacewalk installations.
NASA (.gov)Critical Logistics: Standard provisions include fresh food, maintenance equipment, computer hardware, and spacewalk tools necessary for ongoing orbital operations.
Rendezvous and Docking Schedule
Following orbital insertion and stage separation, the Dragon capsule will conduct a series of autonomous thruster burns to align its trajectory with the orbiting laboratory. Dragon is scheduled to dock autonomously with the space-facing port of the station’s Harmony module, where crew members will monitor arrival procedures and begin unpacking critical experiments and supplies.
