According to official medical bulletins released by the Holy See, the surgical procedure lasted approximately 90 minutes with no complications. The suspected malignancy was identified following routine medical checks that detected an early-stage, circumscribed nodular lesion. Medical specialists reported that because the affected tissue was excised promptly at an early stage, the 71-year-old pontiff’s post-operative prognosis remains positive.
