Funeral Notices in The Chronicle This Week: Heartfelt North East Tributes to Loved Ones

Heartfelt tributes have been published in The Chronicle funeral notices and death announcements this week, honouring beloved family members and community figures from across Newcastle, Gateshead, and the wider North East.

Among the notices published this week are poignant words dedicated to a dearly loved Mam, Nana, Sister, Aunty, and friend whose passing has left an enduring impact on everyone who knew her.

Celebrating Loved Ones Across Newcastle and the North East

Announcing the loss of a family member in local news media remains an important tradition, giving families a dedicated space to celebrate individual lives, share memories, announce service details, and invite charitable donations in their memory.

This week’s notices include touching memorials from across the region:

• Hilary Smith (Birtley): Passed away at age 60. Remembered as a dearly loved Mam, Nana, Sister, Aunty, and friend who will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life is arranged at Birtley Crematorium, with attendees invited to wear bright colours in honour of her love for colour and celebration.
