The fast-moving Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has reached an eighth province, underscoring persistent challenges in halting the spread of the virus across Central Africa.

Health authorities confirmed that the virus was detected in Nord-Ubangi (North Ubangi), a northern province bordering the Central African Republic. Two men in their twenties tested positive in the Wapinda health zone, with at least one fatality recorded.
