According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Typhoon Champi is expected to re-intensify and regain its super typhoon status as it approaches and crosses the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). State weather bureau updates indicate that while the tropical cyclone temporarily weakened, it is projected to ramp up strength over the Philippine Sea, prompting early advisories and potential tropical cyclone wind signals for parts of Northern Luzon and the Bicol Region, where it will also adopt the local name Rosal upon entry.
