Boeing and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), the union representing approximately 16,000 to 17,000 engineers and technical workers, reached a tentative four-year contract agreement after members previously rejected an earlier proposal.

The finalized contract offer addresses key priorities raised by the workforce following survey feedback and an earlier strike authorization vote. The new terms include a guaranteed 10% wage increase, followed by a 4% raise and subsequent wage pools with guaranteed increases through the duration of the agreement. Additionally, the proposal incorporates adjustments to work-from-home policies and overtime limits for professional unit employees.

This agreement aims to avert a potential strike ahead of the expiration of the current contract, safeguarding critical certification timelines for Boeing aircraft programs such as the 737 MAX 10 and 777-9. Union leadership endorsed the revised package, sending it to members for a formal ratification vote.
