(Destiny) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
21-09-2026
Bungie announced today that Destiny 2 will restore all previously removed content, including old campaigns, destinations, and raids that had been taken out of the game years earlier. The studio also stated that the Destiny universe is not finished and that more stories and future games in the series are planned. This followed months of fan backlash after Bungie ended live updates for Destiny 2 and shifted resources toward Marathon. Players had continued pushing for the franchise’s return through persistent social media campaigns and by flooding official livestream chats with demands. The announcement framed the change as a response to that pressure and as an admission that the studio had lost sight of what the community valued.
