During testimony in the murder trial of Caleb Flynn, the grandmother, Jill Smith, testified that Flynn’s two preteen daughters appeared nervous and visibly shaken after having private conversations with him in the days following their mother Ashley Flynn’s fatal shooting.

According to the testimony, Caleb Flynn had initially told his daughters that an intruder had broken into their home and killed their mother. During the trial, family members also pointed out suspicious elements in Flynn’s account of the home invasion, noting that the family dogs did not bark at the purported intruder and questioning why an intruder would bypass the rest of the house to shoot Ashley. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
