Houston Texans Trending News: Blockbuster Trades, London Clash, and Roster Moves

The Houston Texans dominate NFL headlines following a whirlwind week of roster shakeups, high-profile acquisitions, and AFC South drama.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Makes Texans Debut

The biggest storyline surrounding the Texans is the blockbuster acquisition of star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals. Reunited with former Ohio State teammate and franchise quarterback C.J. Stroud, Harrison stepped directly into the spotlight for Houston’s Week 6 international game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. Stroud publicly praised Harrison’s addition, emphasizing the immediate boost to Houston’s perimeter passing attack alongside Nico Collins.

Week 6 Injury Updates and Inactive List

Heading into their division showdown, head coach DeMeco Ryans and the Texans staff dealt with significant roster adjustments:

• Tank Dell (WR): Ruled out for Week 6 while continuing his rehab from a knee injury, though he has returned to practice as his 21-day activation window opens.

• David Montgomery (RB): Sidelined due to a groin injury, pushing rookie Woody Marks into a heavier workload in the Houston backfield.

• Jalen Pitre (S): Listed week-to-week after sustaining an AC joint sprain.

• In-Game Concerns: Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair and safety Reed Blankenship were evaluated for injuries during early London action, testing Houston’s defensive depth.

Defensive Shakeups and Roster Cuts

Concurrently, Houston bolstered its active defense by elevating linebacker Henry To’oTo’o and defensive back Ja’Marcus Ingram, continuing Ryans’ active restructuring on that side of the ball.
